Operational Support

We love when we are able to connect skilled and passionate volunteers to add operational capacity when able.

  • Tasks may include data entry, scanning/printing, filing, envelope-stuffing and other mailing duties during our annual appeal, and event planning + support.

  • From our two big events of the year, the Volunteer Summit and Multicultural Festival, to smaller events like volunteer appreciation, we are always open to event planning support from volunteers.

  • Help us tell our story at Outreach Events in the community. We will communicate what needs we have and how to sign up via email. Short trainings will be held by staff on-site at events.

  • May entail capturing photos and videos at events such as the Volunteer Summit, Multicultural Festival, Health and Wellness Events, Heela Sewing Class Graduation and other moments in the life of our work. See our media guidelines below.

  • For the Social Media Volunteer, we seek individuals skilled in designing and posting social media to support campaigns and recognize holidays and events. We are always open to volunteer consultation on our website, printed materials, and other graphic design.

  • ReEstablish Richmond board members are the governing body of the organization. They help make sure ReEstablish Richmond continues to operate in alignment with the agency’s mission. Board members are essential to ensuring that the organization has proper funding to continue providing services.

    Board of Directors
ReEstablish Richmond’s Board of Directors plays a critical role in guiding the organization’s mission, ensuring financial sustainability, and supporting ethical and effective governance. Board members commit to a 3-year term (renewable once) and participate in regular meetings—primarily virtual with at least two in-person annually. Members are expected to serve on a subcommittee, attend at least one fundraising or outreach event, and make a meaningful financial contribution. They also help expand the organization’s reach by connecting their networks, initiating speaking opportunities, and sharing expertise. Serving on the board is a rewarding way to support refugee and immigrant communities while growing leadership skills and professional experience.

Open Board needs will be posted each May/June for July term start.
